Go to installation directory i.e "C:\Program Files\Internet Download Manager" & find "IDMGrHlp.exe" file. Rename it to "IDMGrHlp.exe.bak"

Actually, whenever you install or update IDM you have to patch idman.exe or replace it if the patched one is included. If you already have a fake S/N you're in business, if not there are tons out there. I don't have Maher's copy of IDM but I'll bet borrowed money it's got a fake serial or a registry patch.

I've never needed to rename "IDMGrHlp.exe". Even if you do, you must patch or replace idman.exe.
