In the Settings window, click the General tab.
In the left pane, click Product Security.
In the Norton Product Tamper Protection row, move the On/Off switch to the right to the Off position.
Click Apply.
In the Security Request dialog box, in the Select the duration drop-down list, select how long you want to turn off Norton Product Tamper Protection.
Click OK.
In the Settings window, click OK.

Norton is resource hungry, so we don't use it.
while other good AV programs do good with less resource usage.

I agree, and I have just had bad experiences with it before.
