Maybe easier than Japan. But what would you do here? in Paris you could visit some museums. In st  Etienne, you would water my plants...I gave my father 3 bonsais, and he used to water them. since he died, I got them back. In a way, you would replace him.
That's my point. France is not the place for me. Although the bonsais watering could be rewarding in the sight of God.

I'm still thinking that marrying you and adopting shadow.97 could be an interesting concept.
Note that you can discover the nearest school of my residence by watching the movie noce blanche, available on the forum.

Hahaha
unfortunately for you, I'm not into guys.  ;D

Neither am I. Adopting shadow.97, who is already 20 sth could be already quite hard. But you...Since you and I are both 35,  I see no other way. And your story of Asylum does not work, you come from a rich country.
Well, I have no more family, you are already a kind of spiritual brother.

The idea of marriage is not bad. Loneliness and loss can be harsh.
I was almost married before being deported and banned from Egypt in 2013 where my former fiance lives.
I don't object to fate. God chose that for me and he chooses the best even if I can't comprehend why. Life is miserable to a certain point, yes.
But I will keep going. I will survive.
Maybe & hopefully, one day God will re-compensate me for what I held dear and lost because of worldly injustice.
My advice to you my friend, find a life partner, someone you find many interests in common with. Bring children to this world and forget worrying about the depletion of energy or scarcity of food in the future. You can build a life somewhere you find strategically safe.
There is always a way around things. Find it.
Either now or in the future, keep good intent in-mind and you'll find what you seek.

Back home, I had two female cats I raised since they were two-month old kittens. (different breeds)
Since I'm out of the house a lot, they kept each other company. The smaller one, a Persian/street hybrid, would not sleep anywhere but on top of me. Sometimes I don't move during sleep so I don't wake her up. I gave them up for adoption to someone I trust.
I miss them a lot, not to mention my family.

Peace

Well, I said a lot of things yesterday, but talking about marriage, adoption...maybe it's crazy, even if I think we can do things together.
In fact, you are right, in France you have probably no future. And I'm wondering if my life has a meaning here too. Actually, I'm wondering if I shouldn't organize my own disappearance like Florent Claude Labrouste, the character of the book Serotonine of Houellebecq. In France I'm living to work. But I'm wondering if I'm really working to live. And with my assets, I could leave France and go to a poorer country where I could live without job, to get married and have children. I saw your video, and yes you were right, if I marry you, you are not likely to have my children (I was speaking of a fake marriage, and maybe you don't know that in France 2 men can get married...and adopt a child. Something like that might not be possible in Saudi Arabia). But I'm looking for sb who has more than 200K $ of assets, like me. With 500 000$,  I think we can live for a long time and maybe run a small business somewhere. And I'm thinking about countries like India, or Palestine (and I have doubts about India, they already have cars and objects of the modern world). Over there, maybe we could have an authentic life, and forget consumerism. You told me you wanted to go to the "city of light". Maybe you should visit it, and tell me if you really want to live there. After visiting a few museums, you will notice shortly that it's not a healthy life. You are always in the metro, there are poor people everywhere. And you don't have the "time to take your time".

Patience is what I recommend. If you think of moving elsewhere, make sure you study that place so you don't make a decision you later regret. The near future might bring good opportunity for everyone. I like to keep my hopes up.

Hahaha I know you're kidding.
As for me, marrying a male, not only is it against my believes and my natural attraction to women, even if it were fake, that is destructive to someones reputation, especially in my place as an Islamic activist. BTW if that, God forbid happened, the fake married couple have to keep up appearance of some sort to the immigration agents, like affection or something, which is completely gross. ;D

I'm must say, my financial status is now worse than when I was back home, where having 200k $ of assets is the dream of most of the people.
Going to Paris to visit is alright by me, not to live though. I have friends working in the human rights field, it's easier to get political asylum there than elsewhere. But still, I hate to be trapped in France.
Soon enough I hope that I find a country where I can practice have my rights & practice the legitimate freedoms I deserve.
The Saudi regime is becoming hated more & more everyday, internationally and at home.
If positive change happens and you had incentive then to come as an investor or whatever, I would not hesitate on inviting you.
There are good places for farming and raising edible animals where wells provide the needed amounts of water.

p.s. I hope your assets aren't in US dollars or other paper currencies.
Commodities are always much safer if you play it right.

I wasn't kidding about that: in France 2 men can get married...and adopt a child.

My speech boils down to one thing: we are consumers. And maybe we could be and we should be something else. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vBot8SOLWBQ

Here I'm quoting the UN: "global  trends of expansion of industrialized agriculture, monocultures, and the market  economy, can have negative and, in some cases, devastating  impacts on the traditional food systems, subsistence-based  economies and agro-ecological systems upon which indigenous peoples depend for survival."
Look at this map, and you'll realize that few countries are not dependent on an industrialized system with cheap food and multinationals: https://www.indexmundi.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2013/02/macdonalds-worldwide.png
Among them, you'll find Bolivia, Palestine, Nepal, Syria, Papua...

Hey aa1234779 I'm glad to see you again. Please answer a question for me. Why do so many Muslim men have beards? Both you and Maher have one. Is it an Arab thing or is it somewhere in the Qur'an? If either of these is the case, then by any chance do you know why Adel al-Jubeir (the Saudi regime's foreign minister) doesn't have a beard, nor even a moustache?

As you know, Indonesia is the largest Muslim nation in terms of population. I've never been there, but in the pictures I've seen very few Indonesians have beards.

Just curious.

I took a few photos for the users of the forum.

A few days ago in Paris, on the Bvd Poissonnière. aa1234779 probably noticed Le Grand Rex.

Yesterday in Saint Etienne, a photo taken from my balcony. In the Haze you can't even see the other buildings.

Today in Saint Etienne, another photo taken on the cours Fauriel.

For usman or Vasudev who have probably never seen snow, this picture might be a bit surprising. Actually, since Saint Etienne is situated 600 meters above sea level (the highest "big town" of Europe with Madrid), snow is not that rare here.
But it doesn't mean there is no climate change.

Hey aa1234779 I'm glad to see you again.
You too. Thanks.
Sorry it took me a long time to answer, I saw your good question, but haven't had the time as I'm busy a lot.
I apologize in advance if you find any of the following gross or disgusting.  ;D

Please answer a question for me. Why do so many Muslim men have beards? Both you and Maher have one.
It's because the Prophet (S.A.W.S.) declared it a "tradition of Fitrah" (instinct or human nature), he commanded Muslims to "Trim the mustaches, and save the beards" (my loose translation)
In fact, the traditions of Fitrah include clipping the fingernails weekly, shaving the pubic area to the belly button and pulling (or shaving) armpit hair at least once every 40 days.

As to explaining the wisdom I know behind this:
1-It's the tradition of Allah's Prophets & Messengers who obey his command to do so.
2-Mustaches can get in the way of food, and food could get stuck on them.
3-Beards are masculine  8) . No disrespect to those that shave. He described beards as "beautifying males".
4-Pubic hair & armpit hair are located in moist areas that promote fungus that wreaks if left unshaved.
5-Fingernails if left not clipped usually accumulate dirt, food on the right hand, and maybe feces on the left if one purifies after excretion by the hand with water. (Anti-bacterial soap to clean the hands is recommended nowadays, back then, they only had dirt & water).
6-Pulling armpit hair has been proven by experiences of multiple people I know, that it decreases odors. It has something to do with the sweat glands most probably. It's hard for people not used to it such as myself.
7-
8-

I'm sure there are other legitimate reasons for these "traditions of instinct" that others have figured out.

As for myself, I repent to Allah the Merciful that I can't keep my beard long for personal reasons.
In previous recordings, when I was yet trapped in the Kingdom of Injustice, I intentionally shaved all facial hair (except for eyebrows & eyelashes  ;D) so that I don't get stereotyped. I even spoke a local dialect of the Jeddah region, nothing near proper Arabic.

Quote
Is it an Arab thing or is it somewhere in the Qur'an?
The Arab Spring 8 years ago, right after Tunisia's revolution, is when I got shaved.
Now, I'd like to stay on the short beard until the day comes that a Muslim growing his beard is no different than any other human male growing one. I hate people being scared of me. Even though, most of the people I advocate justice & freedom for, other than Lujain & the mistreated sisters, are the oppressed non-extreme religious scholars & reformers who all have beards.

As to the Quran, the only mention of a beard I know, is Prophet Moses questioning his brother Prophet Haroon (Aaron) peace be upon them, holding him by the head & beard, for what the Jewish tribes committed in Sinai of worshiping the calf in Moses' absence, made out of the gold they took from the Coptic people, by a suspicious character..

Chapter 20 Ta'Ha
(92) [Moses] said, "O Aaron, what prevented you, when you saw them going astray,
(93) From following me? Then have you disobeyed my order?"
(94) [Aaron] said, "O son of my mother, do not seize [me] by my beard or by my head. Indeed, I feared that you would say, 'You caused division among the Children of Israel, and you did not observe [or await] my word.' "

Quote
If either of these is the case, then by any chance do you know why Adel al-Jubeir (the Saudi regime's foreign minister) doesn't have a beard, nor even a moustache?
It's his style since '96 when I first saw him in the US as a spokesperson for the embassy there and has nothing to do with religion. I don't know if a person doing the diplomatic dirty work for a regime like the Saudis has anything to do with Islam or does he even practice it. God only knows and he judges our hearts. As the Prophet said "Allah does not look at your figures, nor at your attire but He looks at your hearts and accomplishments". Kind hearts that hate injustice are appreciated by Allah.
Does Al-Jubair have one? I won't be the judge of that.

Just curious.
Indonesian people whom I hold dear as they are precious brothers and sisters in Islam & humanity, have become more & more practicing of Islam individually, and hopefully one day as a sovereign nation.
Many people there are growing their beards and women dressing properly according to Sharia.
As to facial hair, Southeast Asian men in-general are not known to be very hairy due to common genetics in the region, which is something the All-knowing, Most-Wise chose for them, just as he chose for some people to have darker or whiter skin, being tall or short, and such.

Now, humbert must be pondering "If Muslim tradition sees growing a beard & trimming the mustache as Prophetic commands, a certain religious group living in the American northeast has that exactly in common"

I wonder who?  ;D

Peace
