When going to Mobile Hotspot on windows 10, and trying to share over 5GHz on Intel 8260 network card the error appeared.
Solved by disabling network adapters for Virtual machines, bluetooth, and VPN's.
Just a headsup if you are facing the same.
Exact error:
"the selected network band isn't available. select a different band and try again."
