Tonight, some photos taken in Lyon are available on the forum.
You are going to see some photos of the Museum of the confluences (musée des confluences)

Some photos of the museum

The Musée des Confluences is located in Lyon at the confluence of the Rhône and Saône rivers.

There are some barges on the Rhône river.

At the front of the museum, you can see the skyline of Lyon

In the museum there are several expositions.
In the exposition "society human theatre", there is a 1908 BERLIET C2 22 HP Double Phaéton.

The brand name Berliet is well known for its excellent vans and trucks. The company started to make passenger cars already in 1899. After WWI truck production gained importance compared to passenger cars and after WWII the company focussed exclusively on commercial and utility vehicles. The company was bought by Citroën in 1967 and again in 1974 by Renault. Soon Berliet merged with Saviem to become Renault Véhicules Industriels (RVI) in 1978 and the famous brand name Berliet disappeared for good.

In another room, the exposition "Origins - Stories of the World" explores the question of the origins of life, by transporting visitors through time, from the appearance of humans to that of life itself and all the way back to the formation of the universe.
Two approaches to the question of origins run side by side: one based on palaeontology, the natural sciences, physics and chemistry; the other based on human sciences and illustrated through ethnographic collections and contemporary works. Engaged in a constant conversation throughout the exhibition, the two approaches become profoundly complementary. The Museum's treasures include mammoth and dinosaur skeletons.

The masterpiece of this exposition is the mammoth of Choulans. Discovered in 1859 on the Montée de Choulans in Lyon, and still fresh in the memories of visitors to the former Muséum d'Histoire Naturelle (natural history museum), this mammoth lived at a time when Alpine glaciers still covered Lyon.

There are several dinosaurs.

Vasudev and shadow.97 may have noticed that this mosasaurs doesn't look friendly.

This is the kingdom of the ammonites.

This is the exit of the museum. It boasts a peculiar architecture.

A photo taken on the place Bellecour, in Lyon. You can see the Basilica of Notre-Dame de Fourvière.

Here is place de la République, in the 2nd arrondissement of Lyon. This is a vibrant square located in the heart of Lyon, France. Renowned for its beautiful classical architecture and impressive central fountain, it serves as a focal point for both locals and visitors.
