Windows XP/7/8

First I wish to convey my thanks and appreciation for what is involved in keeping multiple OS's updated and posted each month.  This has been very helpful to me as I try to keep an updated copy of Windows XP, 7 and now 8 along with a couple other things Maher offer.

That being said I'm saddened to see that the latest builds offered is still November of last year.  Are Windows XP x86 and Windows 7 x86 and x64 still being updated regularly? 

I found a Windows XP zipped for January but has a password?  Really?  Why is this?  I'm really confused here.  How do I extract this January version?  Password is?

I'm dissapointed and really relied on your honesty and well produced releases.

First of all windows 8 doesn´t have a update iso - probably does´t have tools to do with. For me it´s a piace of **** as Vista.

Nomaher moved isos (xp and win7) i think because of limitations and targeting of pirate bay and other torrents.

@Commander - Any OS you're looking for can easily be found on one of the many torrent sites. Sure, it's nice to have Maher's releases which are generally very solid, but it's not as if all that other stuff won't work. Believe me, most will work.

Also, I was on Windows 7 for 3 years and have been on Win 8 for about 4 months. I disagree with rodtsuka, Windows 8 is much better.

@humbert I realize that there are probably other reputable providers out there, but I have no idea who they are.  If you can message me with another source with solid working copies of x86 and x64 editions of Windows XP, Windows 7 and Windows 8, I would be very thankful. 

In the past I've gone through dozens of offers until I came across Maher's compilations which have obviously been a very pleasant experience, and have been faithful to his releases ever since... until now.  What happened exactly anyways?  I need to pay for a premium subscription if I wish to continue to get Maher's compilations?

Regarding Windows 8, I have only toyed around with the pre-release beta back in the day.  Although it is definitely different from Windows 7, I have not experienced Windows 8 enough personally to presume judgement on whether or not the operating system is truly junk or not.  I would really appreciate it if you or anyone else who happens to read this that could point me to some reputable working copies of the mentioned operating systems above, I would be forever thankful.

Would I also need to acquire I believe it was Daz Loader or something for activation?  Please (Private Message) me with any information your willing to share.

To the commander RYLAK: There are not many up-to-date isos available on torrent sites, only a handful, although there are many versions as pointed out by Humbert. Only you can test them. Most of them work, some are tweaked, and very few are rotten. If you want to test windows 8 its your choice. The specialist Humbert has chosen to stay with it but as scarface is concerned, windows 8 is a bore. Still, the best you can do is make you own iso. The specialist Harkaz has uploaded a very complete tutorial to do it on this forum, although its not intended for a total beginner. The last part to retrieve the iso on a virtual machine is not very complete also. You can ask scarface if you choose to do you own version, answers will be given. Otherwise just wait for the next iso of Maher. Next tuesday patch is heavy so there is no point in looking for the last iso.

@scarface This is why I am asking for community input.  Maher has not released an ISO of Windows XP x86, Windows 7 x86/x64 via Torrent that I used since November of last year.  So I was hoping if anyone knew of a specific person like Maher who provides Torrent releases like Maher used to, or am I being required to pay some premium membership to acquire his newer releases I'm guessing that are on some paid d/l sites.

If some links are broken wait for the next iso. If maher has ceased to put some torrents its probably because he doesnt want to go to jail. He knows he's tapped.
Im waiting to release my own version but only for a few users. If you browse the internet you have probably already seen scarface on some forum for some update packs or other things but never for public torrents. I understand that the specialist Maher is reluctant to spread his footprints everywhere.
When I say tapped I didnt mean Maher's work is illegal. I didnt even download one of his iso so I cant really judge but as far as I have read, his isos are clean, there is no reverse engineering or hacked files, so there is no risk for him. Anyway I can tell you that your internet provider is watching you, no need to do something illegal. For example Ive subscribed a optic fiber connection 2 years ago, thats more expensive than standard adsl but way faster, thats a choice, having some 100/50mb enable to download or upload anything. I have a free online storage bundled with it, only 10 Gb. Ive used that to store a few movies and mp3. it has been closed by my provider, even though I was the only one to use it. So pay attention to what you do, your provider can even close your connection without your consent if abuses have been detected.
To really answer your question, Im not able to give you links because I dont download that. The question is not if they are solid or not, the question is: is it uptodate, is there useless software bundled with it? Maher isos are probably solid enough since it contains last updates. Otherwise download a legit iso from microsoft and sysprep your own stuff.

@Rylak - What OS did you say you were looking for? Be that as it may, in my experience a lot of the stuff you get from the torrents isn't that bad, although naturally not everything will work. A good indicator is to go into the Pirate Bay read the comments on the files available for download and notice how many guys there are leeching and seeding it. Good stuff generally has a higher number of people in the swarm. Also, check on there to see if it came from a "trusted uploader". Usually it's the little skull icon.

It would be a beautiful world if there were a Maher's release for just about everything we download, but sadly it's not so. The only thing to do is as I indicated a above, then test the thing to see if it works. I've downloaded tons of stuff that didn't work, but you know what? I've also downloaded tons of stuff that did. One thing is for sure - in this game you can't depend on anyone, you've got to go out and get what you want. The good part is that it's not as difficult as you might think.

If you're referring to donations here, Maher asks for them voluntarily and to help out. They are not mandatory.

With respect to Windows 8, I've had it installed since September and I assure tell you it's rock solid. If you need any guidance, help or basic information on how to use it, let me know and I can help. Don't worry about "activation" or whatever you want to call it, some program out there that will make it work - in fact, there are tons of them. You might want to start with the latest version of KMSNano. When I activated my laptop, I picked one pretty much based on what I said above and the thing still works OK. Besides, when you've got so many activators, believe me, more than one will work. I'd worry if there were only 1 or 2 to choose from. If you've got 4GB of memory and a microprocessor built in [roughly] 2006 or later, go with 64bit.

To the specialist Humbert: I thought there were no definitive stuff, but yours seem ok according to some comments Ive read since I dont have products that require such stuff. On many forums experts on this subject prefer to stand quiet. Still, if you know a silent switch tell me. That doesnt settle the problem with metro yet but there is perhaps a way delete it. I wont try myself unless there is a terrible constraint that makes it mandatory to switch from 7 to 8.

@Scarface - I am no specialist. I try to give opinions and advice based on what I know. As I see it that's what forums are all about.

As for Metro, please tell me if your opinion is based on personal taste or is there something wrong with it somewhere, at least with respect to the apps you run.

BTW - in the other post you mentioned the McDonalds on the Champ Eysees(sp?). Is that the one on the right side of the street facing the front of Arc de Triomphe, about 500m away? If so I know it, in fact I've eaten there. It's funny how they charge you more money if you're going to eat there as opposed to a "take out". I didn't see a place on the Champ Elysees(sp?) where you can sit a second and eat a hamburger.
