It's high time you fled the big towns of Europe. For information, temperatures in Palestine will be between 5 and 10 degrees cooler than in Paris between Wednesday and Saturday. Maher won't need to get a coat anyway.

The Saudi regime has more than a few political prisoners who are prominent "moderate" Islamic scholars, Shia kids who protested, and others waiting to be executed as the prosecution recommended the death penalty!
These fake trials happened more than once, and the people are silent even though they are millions & the oppressors are tens of thousands at the most.

What's it like to roast in 37°-38° heat? I hope you still have that portable A/C you bought in Paris. There's one nice thing -- at night your temps are 17°-19° (according to Google). This is pretty nice. Here night temps during summer are about 25°. Naturally I have to run the A/C all night as well as all day. My monthly electric bill is about $200 or higher, including gas.

And if you don't have your A/C any more?

Don't have A/C? Are you kidding? Suriving without A/C during the summer in Texas is impossible. You've been to America and you've seen for yourself that A/C is everywhere - not just in businesses but in just about every home.

In my travels to the tropics (Colombia, Panama, Cuba etc) I've noticed that homes are constructed in such a way that you can survive without A/C. There is always a fresh breeze circulating and the materials they use don't hold the sun's heat. Sadly in temperate zones this kind of architecture is impossible because there is no way to heat these homes during the winter.
