Can this copy be used to perform a "repair install"?  I didn't see that option in the boot menus.
No, you can't use it for repair.

Hey maher first i want to say WOW you are a really patient man ,
Not many people take the time to answer 90% of the quesions asked you even if it means your just repeating yourself. Its very nice to see

Also i have a quick quesiton myself ahha, I recent bought a combo deal from newegg (bunch of computer parts that put together make a computer but cheaper cause you have to put together yourself. )

What i failed to realise is that it didnt come with an OS. so what im doing is i downloaded your torrent for September 2011 and im putting it onto a usb drive and making it a bootable usb drive Using WIN2FLASH and it seems to be working after i mounted it with daemon tools and selected it as the directory and all that .

Anyways, what my question is,  My new rig is a
-Quad Core
-4gb ram
-1tb hardrive
-(crap) biostar motherboard

I have the cd with the drivers for hte motherboard

My question is, Will this version of windows be able to support the hardware thats on it? Will it recognize all 4 cores ?

Its a SATA HD btw

And when i start up the comp i should have the usb connect right? Ive never booted from a usb before, what do i select in bios ?

Thanks for your help in advance
This XP will run fine on your new PC, and it will recognize the CPU (4 cores).
First you have to connect the USB, go to your bios setup and look for boot options.
Make sure that USB is your first boot device.
Restart and setup will begin.
Good luck.

thanks, Im about to try it now
another quick question : P

Does making a USB into a bootable usb render it useless for any other functions?

Can i still use it as a regular usb after i get rid of the files on it?

BotByte

Rainman, just format the USB later and it will go back to normal. If you just delete the content, it will stay as a bootable.

I booted ubuntnu once and my flash showed as it for a while before I formatted.

My question comes next.

BotByte

Mather, thank you first of all

I'm wondering about installing Xp over my Windows 7 Starter that came with my Netbook.

My netbook could of came with Xp or starter, I guess I made the wrong choice.

Anyways, I have a desktop and laptop able to be of use. I have a flashdrive and externalHD.

My question is, How do I install the drivers and prepare my system to boot from flash? And overall, is it possible?

I have exerience with computers, but don't understand the booting entirely.

Hello

Found your torrent on pirate bay, sounds to good to be true, but wow thanks, will try it...
I want to get rid of my vista on my 15'' hp  G60-125CA, and may buy a Samsung netbook NC110 which has Windows 7 starter. Could I use your iso to make a USB stick, and how would you recommend going about it?

Thanks

Bye the way any reason why I shouldn't go with a full windows 7? I don't do games, a bit of video editing, mostly wav editing... Thanks again ;D

paleoxp

Yes just your comments, why keep xp, is 7 too much, or not advance enough to make a difference? is it a question of ressources utilisation or memory?
Thanks

Guy

Paleoxp, windows 7 starter is a very stripped down version ov w7

I would say it only looks like w7. if you run the full w7 on the netbook, it would run rather slowly, ever slower then the starter version.

My netbook runs the same speed as my 6 year old laptop with a 1/3 of the power running XP.

No, you can still use it.
It's better to format it after you finish installing Windows.
Good luck.
