My friend have a problem regarding on Windows XP Professional SP3 (Volume Untouched) installation. Since it is untouched, it does not contained any SATA driver yet, right? So, the HDD could not be detected. But is there any way? Like doin somethin on the BIOS or to whatsoever? Just to install the OS anyway. Thanks!

If indeed learning is a continuous process are your signature says (and I strongly agree), then what are you even doing running XP on a computer that uses SATA for its hard drives? It's not that XP is bad, it old! SATA simply did not exist when XP came out back in 2001. As I see it, you should be running at least Windows 8 32bit.

Is it that your situation is similar to that of a guy who was on the forum once? He was running an old piece of musical hardware whose manufacturer went bankrupt, and accordingly the only thing available were XP drivers. If you have a similar situation, then it makes sense.

 >:( ...
Is there no process of learning at all in using XP? I dont believe.
And so what for if I did? I am much prefer in this though there are latest versions of Windows releases out there. I say this for the reason, I am PROUD to be XP user.

Yet, the scenario I have posted was my friend's experienced. But for me, I can install it smoothly.  ;D

I just asked it, because computer-matter is not really my line. I am a future civil engineer, but still I have passion bout the said matter but not to the extent that one would expect me as a professional.

Anyways, thanks for your wonderful response sir!  ;D

Sir? Since when are we so formal around here?

In even the most elementary OS you get your hands on there is a learning curve. Also, I used to love XP and still do, the problem is the fact that it's been supplanted by something much better. Exactly the same thing goes for Windows 7.

As a future Civil Engineer and a scientist, your life will forever be connected to computers. You are not doing yourself a favor by sticking to 12 year old technology. Add to this that, as I explained before, there will be no more support after 2014 and future applications will not work with it, not to even mention the fact that, without further updates, no holes that attackers find will ever be patched. This is precisely what happens with the majority of updates -- in all OS'es, not just XP.

All I'm giving you is a piece of advice.

Hey,

I'd like to ask if it would be possible to update WMP to version 11 in the next release of this Windows XP.

Thanks.

Hi,
I wonder if there is any way to install M$ Security Essentials, right now it's setup says it didn't pass genuine validation, despite autoupdate working perfectly well.
XP Pro SP3 Nov 2012 fresh install.
Thank you.

Hello! I'm not sure if it's just me, but isn't there any torrent mirror of the .iso? Some of us get no more than 100 KB/s via browsers, and it's not website account limit.

Maher, you are a very dedicated man! I thank you for updating Windows XP SP3 and keeping up with the updates. I just have one request, can you do a 64bit version of Windows XP updated? I would appreciate it very much... Have a safe and a happy New Year!    8)
E-mail me if possible.
