Quote from: Vasudev on October 24, 2025, 08:52 AMYeah there's basic structure for Files app i.e Documents, Downloads etc transferred from pixel.

So it's like what you see in the home page of any Linux distro. Let me ask, does it allow you to rename directories, delete them, or create new ones? Can you upload or download files? Or is it all read only?

Quote from: Vasudev on October 24, 2025, 08:52 AMThere isn't an easy method similar to MTP on windows for android. I did use 3utools that could transfer from windows using iTunes undocumented api but it's not working properly on iOS 17+.

Let's go with a simple example. Suppose you wanted to upload one song to your phone. Give me an idea of how you go would go about it and, where does the song end up on the phone? Is it even possible to see it on the file manager?

Yes except Download folder you can now add anything. I moved most of the files from pixel to iPhone.

For music you can't view the app data since it comes under iTunes or Apple Music or synced media. Manual process will not detect it as Music and offline music will be not detected. It seems the synced content sounds more muffled while on PC it sounds fine.

I think routers have more intuitive and better file management than iOS and iPadOS. iPad has some of not the worse file manager when they cost more than MacBook Pro

Note that a new version of windows 11 is available (link in the previous message).

Congrats on your channel. You look cute in that business suit. ;) Hey let me ask: what phone do you use? Is it a Pixel or what?

Thank you. It was generated by Apple Intelligence and I could never re-generate it again. Currently I'm using iPhone 17 migrating from Pixel 7 due to calls getting missed without any notification and most of them get phone switched off or network unavailable.

I certainly don't blame you for switching to an iPhone if the pixel was giving you trouble. Do all the phone's apps have to come from the Apple store, or does it allow you to sideload without jailbreaking? My problem with iPhones isn't that they don't work, but that they're very restrictive.

As for the picture. First: is the guy in the picture really you? If so, then how did you do this? Did you [for example] take a selfie and upload it to the phone, then give their AI instructions to put you in a business suit?

Vasudev

Yeah it's definitely me. It was a selfie taken at home and I simply used illustrative style for image generation without any additional text prompt.
Yes iPhone or any Apple devices are restrictive but EU version will soon have third party stores including Brazil, India, Vietnam and other South east Asian countries.
I simply moved because Google started blocking side load which they backtracked after 2 months and by that time I already switched.
Then again battery life is insane with lot of apps than android because every small things have native iOS apps than android. I felt the quality of apps to be better on iOS especially background data and battery usage. It's absolute madness how they have better battery with 3000 mAH than my 4600 mAH Pixel with slow SoC that barely lasts a full day.

You look great. Any girl will notice you  :)

Really? Not here. I have no issue sideloading on my Pixel 9 Pro. In fact, if that happened nobody would buy there phones here in America.

There is bloat left and right on Android phones. Get rid of whatever you don't use an disable the rest. I'm not surprised what you said about the batteries iPhones. Everyone knows Apple has a far more controlled environment. Precisely the reason I don't particularly like it.

Thank you I only hear that from men and nothing from the women than the typical dialog "You look the same even after 10/15 years (when they saw in high school) and only thing that is changed is the height which makes me feel like an ancient being roaming the universe for quite long time"

It was being rolling out in Philippines, South America, Vietnam, India and other South East Asian countries first as pilot program until it was scrapped due to backlash.

Still do that and it becomes a chore on setting up new phones where you have 100-200 system apps and user apps that are shoved once you connect the WiFi

A classic example of Murphy's Law. It's like when firing a gun and hitting anything except the target.😊

What is Google even thinking? Can you still sideload in India or did they scrap that over there too?

Is it possible to disable this garbage on iPhones? On Android phones you can't delete this garbage, but at least you can disable it. It disappears from the list of app icons and does not update.
