Muslims fasting of Ramadan 1435 H

Ahmad -> So the reason many Muslim guys have beards is for no other reason that to copy Mohammed?

Some of them > Yes, they do their best to do exactly as our prophet did in everything (peace be upon him and all the prophets).

Others have beard because they want it.
Others don't care about their look at all, sometimes with a beard, and sometimes without.

Ahmad -> There is no religious obligation or other benefit?

I don't know the precise rule about this matter in religion.
I focus more on those matters related to relationship and good manners because this is the purpose of the religion.
