P.S. I hope everyone around here is doing fine. I haven't logged in for a very long time. Time flies...

Indeed you haven't. It's nice to have you back. You're an asset to the forum. Don't be a stranger  :)

As for Windows 7 and XP too, They were indeed were great operating systems in their day. As you all know, due to the rapid advance of technology, every OS will get old and can be updated only so much. All will eventually reach the point where they have to be either replaced or rewritten from scratch.

Any OS could be greatly improved if it were in it's pure form without all the bloat and garbage they keep adding. Unfortunately bloat = $$$

Exactly. Our data is their profit, and the bloat, apart from increasing advertising revenues, facilitates data hoarding.

And only the minority of us actually do something to at least put a dent in the bloat. Most others do nothing and have no idea they're giving their lives away online - and getting nothing in return but ads.

Quote from: harkaz on November 09, 2024, 05:40 PMI know most people do not use Windows 7 any longer (with the exception of Virtual Machines).
However, as a way to celebrate the 15th anniversary of Windows 7 release, an October 2024 version of Windows 7 Unofficial SP2 has been prepared.

This should be the final update cycle (no further updates for Embedded versions) for all x86 editions of Windows 7.

Additional information and download link from Google Drive can be found at my blogspot. Download location may change in the future.

Its great to see you and nice of you to make final Win 7 Sp2 AIO ISO as part of 15 yr anniversary gift for all fans. Even I did release my base edition of SP2 in May 2025 so that people can simply add the newer updates without needing to update Win 7 SP1 ISO with convenience update packs. I do miss good old days of less bloated functional OS compared to latest Windows 11 which serves ads and other stuffs even after paying for a license.
