It's been quite a while since I've run into any of those site.
F****** Indian sites run only on IE8 or IE6 >:(
just frustrates me even more >:(

Blade - what do these IE-loving sites offer that prompt you to visit them, unless they have some local information you need (e.g., when buses arrive, what's on TV etc)? When I ran into this situation in the past, I used Maxthon Classic 1.69 combined with one of the IEView add-ons, hopefully one that'll allow you to insert the path of the browser you want to use. IE View Lite did this just great, unfortunately it's not compatible with FF 14. Maybe one of the others will work.

Hey buddies. :)

For those IE based sites, I use IE Tab 2 add-on with Firefox 13.0.1 and it's really good. You can try it from Here.

How exactly did you put down a URL and use the word "here" instead of the actual place to click? What I've been doing is clicking on the icon that says "URL" and there inserting the link to go to. What I'd like to know is how to use another word instead of the actual link. Enlighten me please.

Ahmad

@ humbert. :)

You could click "Modify" on my post and see its code ... It is like that:
[color=blue][u][url=http://www.ietab.net/]Here[/url][/u][/color]

When you click "Insert Hyperlink", you'll be shown this code:
[url][/url]
You enter any name you want between the 2 brackets, and the actual url is written after = in the first bracket.

Sorry for bad explanation.  :-[
BTW, I knew this from an old post by Maher ... I clicked "Modify" and saw how it was written.

OK, I see what you've done. I copied and pasted that to a note program I have. Don't be ashamed about a "bad explanation", truly the only way to really understand what's happening is to see it as if in a picture. I don't see how to do it unless it's done manually - unless you know something I don't.

I'll say it in another way..

Suppose you want to make a link to "Google" for example but you want to hide the complete url and show a word instead like "Search" for example..
Then you'll have to click the button "Insert Hyperlink" from above or write it manually like that:
[url][/url]
Now you want to make a link for Google, then go to the first url brackets and write it like that:
[url=http://www.google.com/]
You've assigned a hyperlink, now you need to enter a name for it "Search" which you'll write in the middle between the 2 url brackets like that:
[url=http://www.google.com/]Search[/url]

It'll be like that: Search.

After that you can underline the code and color it if you want to be like that: Search

Take care.  :)

As I see it (and correct me if I'm wrong), if you simply write everything exactly the way it's written above in blue except click on "Insert Hyperlink" to avoid some typing, it'll work. What I'm not sure about is your use of Code:Select

Everything is OK except for the Minus mark (-) at the beginning, so it should be like this:
[url=http://www.google.com/] Search[/url]

Regarding the code:select.. I use it from the # button from above to allow me to show you how exactly the code is written, because if I write the code in the normal script without assigning that this is a code, it'll appear in its final picture and I want to show you the actual code not its final picture.

Precisely the reason I used the - was to get around what you were just telling me, i.e., to prevent this thing from reading my post as code. Now that you explained about Code:Select, I've learned an important lesson. As I've said so often, there's not a time I turn this computer on that I don't learn something important. Thanks!
