A video about the origins of IS and its leader, Abu Bakr al Baghdadi.
Aa1234779 will probably take a look at it.

QuoteActually, I wish you had commented on my previous videos.
Forgive me for not doing so, the last few days were very busy for me.
I watched the above documentary film the day you posted it until the part the Indonesian Muslim was justifying the publication of IS videos of gruesome executions, I got mad and shut it off. In Islam "We are under attack" is not an excuse to (1)behead (2)a prisoner (3)using a hunting knife (4)in-front of a camera (5)with no fair and transparent trial. Emotions should not permit Muslims to break the laws of Islam. Ignorance does, unfortunately, and so does the secret agendas of those that wish to defame Islam and Muslims from the inside.

QuoteThe consequences of having a corrupt government are highlighted in times of chaos. In January 2011, during the Cairo revolution, the city of Jeddah flooded because the monarchy failed to establish basic protections against the weather. Ten people died due to improper sewerage and drainage. The inadequate preparation was blamed on corrupt businesses and government stealing money from both sewer and drain-related construction projects.
In 2009, I almost died myself in the floods that took the lives of around 150 people in Jeddah where I used to live before fleeing.
Can you believe that in most parts of Jeddah & the poorer parts of Riyadh among many Saudi cities, sewage water is still being removed using a suction motor and carried in lorries carrying 19 ton tanks?

Actually, I think you should watch this one, already posted above.
Climate change, the helplessness of the UN, the mechanisms in our brain to change the system and make Earth more livable ... all that in this exceptional video. In French with English subtitles.

If shadow.97 was here, he would probably say that this one is a bit depressing, but the topic is pretty interesting.
As far as Saudi Arabia is concerned, I think that the situation will change in the coming years, whether we like it or not. With the end of oil, the people will need to work in the agricultural fileds if they want to eat. It will be similar in France or in Palestine. Because without oil, the current economic system and mechanized agriculture will not last much longer. Unfortunately, there are 30 million inhabitants in Saudi Arabia and it will be difficult. 10 000 years ago, there were only 6 million inhabitants on the planet.

Here are a few interesting articles, in French:
An article about Boko Haram: https://www.lemonde.fr/afrique/article/2019/01/03/boko-haram-a-ete-le-revelateur-de-toutes-les-haines-de-voisinage_5404864_3212.html
this one is about Brunei, which intends to apply the Islamic law (the Sharia): https://www.lemonde.fr/international/article/2019/01/03/brunei-des-ombres-sur-le-sultanat_5404630_3210.html
A very good article, titled 2019, a smell of crisis.

Netflix removed Hassan Minhaj's royal family episode only in Saudi Arabia. I have Netflix here at home and the episode is still there. I'm not surprised. Netflix executives in Riyadh will end up in chop-chop square if the episode isn't removed. It's the same in all totalitarian states.

aa1234779 -> Here's an interesting question. Suppose the royal family were overthrown tomorrow. How would they rename your country? Do you think "Arabia" (minus "Saudi") would conflict with the rest of the Arab world? What about the flag? As far as I know the inscription says "There is no God but Allah...." Seems to me this has nothing to do with the royal family.

You mentioned ISIS. Despite the fact that they and the Saudi royal family are mortal enemies, basically it's pretty much the same garbage. Kinda like Fascists and Communists.

It's more like fear of losing profits, as Netflix has been advertising on huge roadside screens and stuff. If the episode wasn't pulled then Netflix can say bye bye to multi-million dollar income from the Saudi market. Not only will the advertising be stopped, but the service would probably be blocked with a simple hand gesture MBS would give to his goons.

None of that is for me to decide, nor is it the dissident movements choice.
The people should decide when all barriers between them and free choice is destroyed. When people get the chance to visit the ballot box to choose for themselves is when we should be able to know.
As to the words on the flag, it's more of a means of propagating that the Un-Islamic goverment of Saudi Arabia is the sole protector of true Islam which is the mother of all falsehoods.

The problem is that both camps have non-questioning followers that obey, and do nothing but obey.
Take for example, as Mujtahidd who is an anonymous & famous blogger on twitter with inside sources in the kingdom reported yesterday, five of the supposed killers of Khashoggi who the prosecutor requested the death penalty against, are taken to a secret prison because of the fuss they were making at the place they were before (Naif security science academy) and placed under constant monitoring because of numerous suicide attempts, including bumping their heads against cell walls. Truly pitiful & well-deserved. Hopefully, the people take the ones who ordered the kill to the same fate.

Exactly. It all boils down to economics. Sometimes think money is the one true god.

I agree. I was asking your opinion. Let's do this. In our forum for the sake of argument, let's call your country "Arabia" (removing "Saudi"). When Arabia is free the people will decide if the name stays or is changed. OK with you?

Let me see if I understand this. You're saying these guys didn't do anything and are merely scapegoats made to look like asassins who acted on their own? If that's the case then who are they? Are they known dissidents or were they picked up randomly off the street? Is it possible they're the real killers who are now being sacrificed to benefit MBS?

Thank you so much. It's as if you knew exactly how I feel about attaching the name "Saudi" to my beloved country!

They did it. The ones that ordered it are probably in the palaces while these slaves are going down for a crime they were ordered to commit. The swift death penalty that will probably be served to them is to shut them up on who gave the orders.

I course I know how you feel. It's bad enough that they establish a totalitarian state in the name of Islam. It's even worse that they decided to attach their name to the country. In other words, they and not the people own the country. This is also why I pointed out in another post that calling you a "Saudi citizen" is a personal insult.

Although I realize it will be the people who decide on a name, I'm thinking "Arabia" is not bad. After all, your country occupies the lion's share of the Arabian peninsula. I don't see why any other nation would object.

It's hard to believe to what lengths the house of Saud will go to keep themselves in power. MBS probably thinks the world will actually believe his story of these people acting alone. Dictators often get to the point where they believe their own lies and propaganda. Trump is another classic example.

After exposing a Saudi sponsored piece of s*** operating out of Paris to hurt the opposition movement in London, Twitter restricted my access for the remaining 10 hours.

I can't tweet, retweet, or like anything.

Armies of bots reported my account.  :(
