North America experiences soaring temperatures and ravaging wildfires. What’s going on?

Every summer I hear the same story. This time it's the west's turn. In past years we were bombarded with news reports about temps in the east exceeding 40°C. Curiously, here in San Antonio it's been a cooler than usual summer. Daytime temps are 30° to 32°. This time of year 37° to 39° is normal. And of course you probably heard of the freeze last February. One morning it was -12°! I went for a walk and slipped on the ice, almost breaking some ribs in the process.
Well, 2 days ago in Sceaux I put the heater on because I was cold. Apparently in Texas you have been lucky too, since there has been no heatwave. However, I think that climate change is a reality. I'm a bit astonished you had snow last winter. In France, winters are getting warmer and there is no snow every winter (it depends where you are). Last winter there has been a lot of snow here, but it's not always the case.

When arriving in Denmark/Sweden, the first thing I thought of was the insane temperatures. It's been steady 30+ here. Yesterday it peaked 35c.
Unbearable for me. Ireland just does not get that hot. I think the hottest I saw was 24? Maybe 25.

Needless to say, I've been sweating a lot, and hiding in the basement as much as possible.
My parents had apparently removed the AC due to it leaking some water. So now we only got a floor unit left. But it's not strong enough to cover the entire house.

So.. How do you people survive the heat?
Whats your trick?
Have you found a cheatcode that makes your body resistant? :D

The biggest secret of the third reich is that Hitler couldn't prove his Aryan ancestry, but thanks to DNA, recent studies showed that Hitler's family tree may have included Jewish and African ancestors.
But today, another secret is going to be revealed. It has long been assumed that Hitler committed suicide with his wife, Eva Braun, in Berlin on April 30th 1945. But a man claims he escaped Germany before the invasion of the allies. According to this specialist, Hitler escaped to Africa and had a son. As of today, he's still living in Mombasa.

Great Britian and Ireland are in the path of the Gulf Stream, a major Atlantic current that ends up bringing plenty of moisture. Mainland Europe is often at the mercy of winds blowing from the south, or more correctly, from the Sahara Desert. Fortunately these heat spells don't last long. I'm noticing the temps in Växjö are now much more seasonable.

BTW, did you fly from Dublin into Copenhagen and go by road to Växjö? Just curious.

This is not a major problem. Ask someone to check the drain pan and the hose it's connected to. It might even be clogged. Slime loves the fresh water emitted by the A/C. In the mean time, get a fan assuming you don't have one. You should be OK especially at night when I'm seeing it goes down to about 16°.

Here A/C is everywhere. Just like most homes, mine has central A/C. Not surprisingly my electric bill doubles during the summer. When I'm out I try to stay out of the sun as much as possible, and of course, drink cold water.

According to the story I heard, Hitler's paternal grandmother was working as a maid for the Hiedler family in what today is Austria. Someone in the family was doing her, BUT she also had a Jewish boyfriend on the side who was doing her too. When she got pregnant with Alois (Adolf's dad), for obvious reasons she pinned the pregnancy on Hiedler. The truth is she wasn't sure who Alios' father really was.

WHAT??? This is ludicrous! Even if Hitler was of sound mind (which he wasn't) what does the man with the world's most recognizable face do when arriving in Mombasa? Is he going to check into a hotel? All this in the then-British colony of Kenya when he as his entourage, all white men, stand out like flies in a glass of milk? C'mon man!

Yes, that's why, according to the Nuremberg laws, Hitler couldn't prove his "racial purity".
His friend Josef Mengele couldn't join the SS because he couldn't prove the Aryan ancestry of the grandfather of his wife.
But it's true that research has been carried out to unravel the mystery of the Fuhrer's roots. The Belgian journalist Mulders collected saliva samples from 39 of the dictator's living relatives, including a great-nephew, Alexander Stuart-Houston, who lives in New York, and an Austrian cousin identified only as "Norbert H". Tests were then conducted to reveal the samples' principal haplogroups, which are sets of chromosomes that geneticists use to define specific populations. Mulders reported that the relatives' most dominant haplogroup, known as E1b1b, is rare in Western Europeans but common among North Africans, and particularly the Berber tribes of Morocco, Algeria, Libya and Tunisia. It is also one of the major founding lineages of the Jewish population, present in 18 to 20 percent of Ashkenazi Jews and 8.6 to 30 percent of Sephardic Jews. In other words, Hitler's family tree may have included Jewish and African ancestors.

Nothing is true in this video. The journalist says the opposite of what the subtitles are saying. The last sentence was my own conclusion "he' still living in Mombasa" but it seems you didn't believe it either (Mombasa is in Kenya).

According to my story of Hitler's grandmother, I forgot a detail that might be true. When Alios' mom when to register him at the notary. It was noisy and crowded. The clerk asked the child's name, and mom responded "Alios Hiedler". The notary had trouble hearing and asked again and again, to which mom responded "Hiedler". What did the clerk do? He wrote "Hitler" and filed it away. Naturally in 1842 the name "Hitler" was meaningless.

While I don't doubt your facts concerning the Führer's lack of ability to prove is Aryan ancestry, it's hard to believe he got as far as he did and push the Aryan agenda so far without submitting proof for himself. I wonder how he managed. As for Mengele, when you say "his friend" I'm sure you mean in the sense that they agreed on many things. In fact as far as anyone knows, Hitler never even heard of Josef Mengele. He was appointed by someone else to be camp doctor at Auschwitz. These kinds of appointments were done at a lower level.

Your facts regarding DNA from Hitler's family members, if you take just about anyone on earth their DNA will show results from many different types of people. I wouldn't be surprised if someone tested my DNA and found that one or more of my ancestors were black Cuban slaves. I have brown hair and eyes but I have very fair skin which sunburns very easily.

Regarding the video, I didn't know it was a comedy until you pointed it out. What seemed to me so ludicrous even for comedy was the fact that he went to Mombasa in the then-British colony of Kenya. He'd be harder to find in the vast land of Siberia moving from place to place hiding in plain sight where nobody would think of looking. A much more plausible scenario is that he was smuggled on board a U-boat and ended up in Argentina, south of Buenos Aires away from populated areas. There, nazi sympathizers picked him up and whisked him away to Paraguay or Bolivia where people in the government were paid to look the other way.

We have had many discussions about the Lone Star and the Sunshine State where humbert has spent many years. Located in the middle, there is the Pelican state also known as Louisiana. It was created in 1682, and its names derives from the French King Louis XIV. As the picture below shows, it was a bit bigger at the beginning of the 18th century. Today, 8% of its population are still speaking French. You can discover the bayous of Louisiana in this video.
