One thing is true: if you are a local then Miami is becoming more unliveable every day that passes. The video shows only the universe of the very rich. These people live in a bubble. They are totally isolated from the rest of the city. My aunt and her husband live in a tiny apartment and can barely afford the rent. It's one increase after another. They moved to Rochester, NY and deeply regret their decision to return to Miami.

It's not just the rent. Almost all freeways have become toll roads. Some people complain they pay more in tolls than in gasoline. The place is crowded and far less safe than any other typical American city. This "good weather" this is pure garbage. The humidity is oppressive and it rains heavily. 38°C in San Antonio is far more comfortable than 32° in Miami. And the worst part is it never lets up. Of course the filthy rich have no clue -- they are locked up in the air-conditioned offices and dwellings.

Also, notice that the building boom you see in the video is relegated to only one area. There is no place to continue building. Go west of Miami and you hit the Everglades. This is a national park, construction is not permitted. This means the population density continues to climb and climb.

I only hope I live to see the day that Cumbre Vieja in the Canary Islands falls into the sea. Miami is in the direct line of fire of the huge tsunami that will result. And of course, at the speeds they move, Miami has only 8 hours to prepare.

I will NEVER, under ANY circumstances, return to Miami. Not even for a visit.
