Just wanted to say that I'm using Fireshot for capturing and editing my screenshots in FF, and I am very satisfied with it. http://screenshot-program.com/fireshot/

Thanks buddy for help.  :)
It's really very good. I kept it instead.

BTW, this is its page on Firefox add-ons:
https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/fireshot/
Even, I have written a review there.  ;)

@ humbert. :)
Hey buddy.
I wanted you to know that I've tried some add-ons:
# hidemyass [you told me before] ... It's great & I kept it ... BTW, its site is what you told me about to surf anonymously, and it's with the same name.. right ?
# unmht ... Great & I kept it.   To enable Firefox to save web page in MHT format.
# ie tab v2 ... Great & I kept it.  This is to use IE engine inside Firefox because some sites need IE.
# SkipScreen ... If I'm right, it does nothing as you said before. So I removed it.
What I want also is to capture an image for the page and edit it ... I tried add-on called awesome Screenshot ... But, I ask you if you know another one better.
BTW, I've split our talk about add-ons to create this new topic.
:) :D

Ahmad: opening this topic is probably your wisest decision EVER! You are truly the ideal moderator for any site. I commend you!

As all of you can imagine, this will no doubt be my favorite topic! I've been a Firefox user forever, I know it's tricks and I absolutely love the fact that it's so configurable and has all those add-ons. It's literally a "pick your favorite bloat" browser. I wish all programs were like that.

Shadow: to cure your tab-opening problem forever, download an add-on called Tab Mix Plus. With this you can easily configure the opening of tabs to your liking. You're a smart guy and will easily figure it out, but feel free to ask me any questions if there's something you don't understand. Incidentally, I had been meaning to ask you - does the 97 in your name mean you were born in 1997?

Also, have you guys tried the cosmetic add-ons? Have you put lovely personas on your browser and/or have them change automatically every minute or so? Have you downloaded an cutie like Fabtabs to make them look like something you'd want your girlfriend to see? Hey, it's not just computer stuff at Mozilla.

Yo Ahmad - be advised Maxthon is nothing new, it is, in fact, older than sex between men and women :) (That's OLD!) It's based in the IE kernel and you could probably configure the IE add-on you have to open Maxthon instead of IE - I had it set that way once. I used Maxthon extensively until Firefox appeared on the scene. Since then I've never looked back.

BTW guys, tomorrow I have to go South of the Rio Grande river and will cross it back on the 12th. I must return that date because I have an important appointment on the 13th. I don't know if I'll have internet access just yet, but relax, I WILL be back. Given how Murphy's Law works, I'm thinking Homeland Security at the border might make me miss my appointment. Let's hope that doesn't happen. Regardless, crossing the border north (or from the 49th parallel going south) has become a nightmare.

Thanks for your words, dear. :)
But you forgot to mention the other 2 great guys.. Someone called humbert and the other called BLADESHARK.  ;D ;D

I saw that this topic deserves to be independent and I knew that it'll have a long talk, so I split it. Anyway, you started it from the beginning by talking about unmht add-on.

I didn't know that it's old. Thanks for the tip.
Anyway, I never tried it but I heard that it's fast so I used it and Chrome to compare with Firefox just to see the faster. BUT, there is no comparing...

Firefox is the best and the fastest ever. This is my findings. May others differ with me.

What is this, buddy? Is this the name of an add-on ?

I have never been a big fan of personalize thing (except maybe Winamp), but I had a look at FabTab. It looked so much fun that I have to try it out. :)

Then I would just like to ask about downloader add-ons in FF. I'm currently using DownThemAll ( http://www.downthemall.net/ ), and basically couldn't live without it. But, is there any others out there are even better? The only thing that I miss is that DTA has often trouble resuming broken downloads, and just restart them. So any advice about downloaders are appreciated.
Just because I got cured from my paranoia, it doesn't mean they have stopped looking for me!

Hey guys! Well, here I am in Sabinas Hidalgo, Mexico just north of Monterrey (see Google maps), where the wedding will be held. Here in my father in law's house there's internet - slow, but better than none at all. I'm always thinking of the fine group of friends I have here on the forum.

Hey Chief, check this out! Your ads here are in SPANISH! Way to go! That advertizing company is something else!

Bubster: Lots of guys here and in many places like IDM (Internet Download Manager). There are some minor details I don't like, but then again that's just me being neurotic. Why not give that a try? I like IDA (Internet Download Accelerator), but to make it work well I had to use the Flashgot add-on as an intermediary (no need for that in IDM). You might want to check those out. There are a bunch of others out there too.

Ahmad: Excuse me, but did you just say you didn't know that sex was older than the oldest pyramid in Egypt  :)? Somehow I have a  hard time believing that . :) ;) ;D  BTW, as Bubster explained, Fabtabs is a cosmetic add-on. It makes your tabs look nice and beautiful. And of course, personas and personas rotator are something else also. All these do is make your FF look nice and pretty without slowing you down.

Shadow and everyone - another add-on to prevent confusion is Menu Editor. This allows you to take stuff you don't use off your menu. Believe me, if you use plenty of add-ons (as I do), this thing becomes essential.

Dear friend: I didn't know anything [Literally] about internet until last year  :-[ ???. So, there will be many and many things new to my ears, and so do we learn. So I have the right to be excused.  ;) ;D

As I told you before, I'll refer to you for anything regarding Firefox add-ons.

Thanks & I'll try it.
Take care.  :) :D

Are you suffering from insomnia again?  :) ;)

Who questioned your knowledge of the internet? Not me. Reread my post. I was surprised that you didn't know that sex was older than the pyramids.  :) ;) :D  - I think you misunderstood. Hey man, it's cool! We're among friends! :) 8) ;)

Hey! To clarify - I was making a joke all along  :). When I informed you that Maxthon wasn't new, I did it in a very facetious manner so we would all enjoy a laugh.  :) ;) All I achieved was to create a misunderstanding.

I think it's important for all of us, myself included, to keep in mind that the form of communication we are using is very prone to misunderstandings. Humans communicate through body language first and spoken language second. Sadly we don't have that luxury. Also, remember that English is our link language. If there is anyone among us who can claim that Engish is their first language, would he (or she) raise his hand.

Concerning Maxthon, let me give you a tip. See if you can get yourself a copy of the classic version (1.69 I think). This first version is truly lean and mean, and was, in fact, the very first one to ever offer some sort of ad and popup blocking software. Sadly, Maxthon went the way of Nero and added an unbelievable amount of bloat to their browser, so as to make it unusable. This is precisely why I love Firefox -- it comes blank and gives you the opportunity to add whatever bloat you like and stay away from bloat you don't like.

BTW, I had no clue you got on the internet just a year ago. You've done unbelievably well and have surpassed the vast majority of the population in the knowledge of it. My congratulations.  (DO take this seriiously)  :)
