@ BLADESHARK. :D
Regarding GHOST, YES, I know how to backup and restore.
I don't need an external HDD ;;  I just backup the C drive only to an image file which I save it on D drive to use it later in restoring the C drive again.
I use the GHOST program in Hiren's BootCD, almost the DOS version, and sometimes the one in mini XP... anyway they are the same.
I have a dear friend called "Hossam". I learned a lot from him. When I had a PC, he taught me some basic things about PC including how to backup and restore with GHOST.
I've created a topic about how to use Norton Ghost in this link:

Good luck.  ;)

For those of you like me who hate large, bloated stuff, I found a little thingie somewhere called "Windows Images". It's basically a backup program just over 7-MB in size, but the thing is awesome! You can back up both full and incremental without rebooting, even across networks or to DVD's. It also creates a small bootup CD for restoring, and give you the option of doing it using either DOS or Linux (either one works for a Windows backup). Don't like CD's and rather use a pendrive to boot from USB to restore? It supports that too. You can go into your backup and restore files individually by either using an Explorer-type program or mounting the backup file as a virtual drive. Given its size, it puts Norton Ghost to shame.

I also found a little thingie called JetClean which is just great. It catches cookies that Ccleaner misses and gives you the option of cleaning them or keeping them. It even found out (something I hadn't realized) than when I installed Firefox 12, all the changes to make it faster were blown away and everything was set to default (remember guys, default=slowest). Natually I told the programs to reset the settings. It optimized internet settings for speed too, plus other good stuff.

Anyone who wants copies I'll be more than happy to put them on my Dropbox and post the download link so you can check 'em out.

Yeah, I know about "Windows Images" from Hiren's BootCD and I think it is good. and Yeah, I don't like bloated programs. But I used to back up C drive with GHOST and I don't need it in any other functions ;; Just back up C and restore it.
Just for information, I'm using ONLY the EXE file of Norton GHOST which is 1.83MB for DOS version, and 3.79MB for windows version.
I never used the whole setup program of Norton GHOST, and I don't know how it looks like, and I don't want to know.
:) :D

Hello mrunknown 8)
Have you installed your LAN Drivers that came with your PC
If you have installed LAN Drivers then Go To Device Manager

Here's How:
Click on Start and then Control Panel.
Click on the Performance and Maintenance link.

Note: If you're viewing the Classic View of Control Panel, you won't see this link. Simple double-click on the System icon and proceed
In the Performance and Maintenance window, click on the System icon near the bottom of the window.
In the System Properties window, click on the Hardware tab.
With the Hardware tab selected, click on the Device Manager button.
You can now use Device Manager

First Scan for any Hardware Changes.
If you see any yellow question mark, right click on the icon and select update.
It would ask you to connect to the Internet or browse for the Drivers, Select the desired option and wait for some time.
If the update is successful then you should be able to connect to the Internet
Hope you solve your problem. :)
See you soon ;)
