I have begun to do my own iso and if you read that thread you will see advice of what should be updated or not. Every update should be installed except that as said by the specialist harkaz (install net 4.5 too):
4. .NET 4.5: It seems you installed it on top of .NET 4. Don't do this. Instead use a slim and fully up-to-date installer of .NET 4.5:

5. (Note): You did not include KB971033 (WAT update). You did not run  Malicious Software Removal Tool (good option - this is updated every month).

If you'd like, you could try my own January 2013 ISO version. I can't post the link here, but I'll give you a hint: Search google for "Windows 7 Unofficial SP2" and go to the youtube video with this title. You will find a link there...  ;)

to the specialist harkaz:
your usb3 drivers are needed for flash keys? (or to install windows via flash keys?)
Im thinking about integrating or replacing drivers like Realtek_HDMI_R270 or Realtek_rtl81 in the iso. When the next iso is finished I will tell you.

USB3 drivers are necessary to do anything at all with a USB device connected to USB 3.0 controller.

I recommend integrating both chipset and USB drivers. You should integrate them in ALL boot.wim, winRE.wim and install.wim images

I didnt fathom anything about winre. according to what I saw, its used to retrieve the image, but I dont use it. I will give you the image I will do. Anyway we dont have the same objective as I want a light image, so I delete every useless driver. In the last iso I sent you, printer drivers and video drivers, at least the biggest and non standard, have been deleted. I talked about realtek drivers because they are small and widespead. Since usb3 devices are still very expensive I havent tested that yet. if needed I have a prototype of an old 900mb x64 windows 7 sp1, heavily stripped down which can serve as a model to avoid removing critical components.

I forgot that winRE.wim is deleted when you remove "Recovery" components from RT 7 Lite.

If it's not difficult, please send me a list of components/registry entries/files removed or changed in your prototype.
