Reddit is what I would say is a "Modern forum" or social media forum.

Discord is in a sense like a non-public-internet facing forum, with smaller groups generally speaking and is more focused on chatting and bonding with people over things in common.

Very interesting opinion. Because from my point of view Reddit is a kind of pile of junk pictures and nasty persons (something like russian Pikabu, and almost same toxic). And Discord is something about different sexual perversions, like homosexual furfags. I'm totaly not against them, but it isn't interesting.

Maybe my opinion is incorrect, because I base on my point of view - from russian segment, where a lot of restrictions, because of which many of weirdos joining Discord.

Are you sure Discord is worth it?

There is quite a few russians from what I've seen on Discord. Not seen as many on Reddit. I have been under the impression that Reddit was blocked in russia.

No, I'm not that type.   But one of my friends is, and all I can hear from him is how nice Discord is and how many fox-guys he date there. Actually, he's only one of my friends who using Discord (maybe other just well hiding this! ), so my opinion about Discord are basing on expression from him alot.

AFAIK, no. Today it's mostly Telegram. Discord is only in cases when they need to play with foreigners. But I doesn't play online mostly.

I myself doesn't play online, so I doesn't use any type of voice chat at all. I know that my colleagues, who playing alot, use Telegram from phones. I.e., just puts the phone on the table near computer, and plays.

Yesterday I downloaded and installed Warhammer 40000 Darktide from Steam. As I've mentioned before, the game came with the new video card. It didn't cost me anything.

Does anyone have an idea of what this game is about and how to play it? It starts with a bunch of people talking and some guy sitting in what appears to be a prison cell. Then that guy becomes your character. For some reason unbeknownst to me I have to walk the guy around, almost as if looking for a way out. Then for some random characters attack. You can click the mouse to hit back. Just to run a test I decided not to fight back to see what happens if the character gets killed. Guess what? Nothing happens. The guy keeps on walking as if the attacker weren't even there. This despite the fact that the attacker keeps on hitting. To put the icing on the cake, the blood being splashed around is black. Is my video card bad or is it the game? I should also mention that nowhere in the settings is there any way to adjust levels of difficulty. At least I didn't see it.

Any way to get information other than paying Steam $5 for the privelege of leaving a message on their forums?

Note that I'm planning to release (once again) a smaller version of Crysis 3 remastered. I've been able to reencode some .usm videos.
Since usm videos can be found in various games, and in case you want to modify them, I'm giving you the explanations to reencode them:
- Extract  the usm videos with vgm toolbox
- For the videos, reencode m2v to avi with Mediacoder (choose a MPEG4 encoder, and apply a high bitrate since you'll choose the final bitrate later, in Scaleform video encoder)
- For the audio tracks, reencode adx to wav with PES sound file converter
- Finally, convert the avi and wav files to usm videos with Scaleform video encoder.

To make the 3 new repacks (see the message above), I worked a lot, and I reduced the size of the normal dds. It was pretty hard since only paint.net supports them (xnview is displaying an error message), and I reduced the size of hundreds of dds files. I'd like to make smaller repacks for dishonored 2 and the room series games, but it's hard since the files are embedded in "assets" files in these games. If you know how to modify these files, send me a message.
